IngredientsCassava (peeled & cut)
Coconut milk/cream
Salt (optional)
Boil cassava in water until soft (25–30 min).
Drain and slightly mash or leave whole.
Pour warm coconut cream over the top.
Add a pinch of salt if desired.
Dalo
Ingredients
Taro Root
Water
Peel and cut taro into chunks.
Boil until soft (20–25 min).
Serve plain or with coconut cream or fish.
Jackfruit
Ingredients
Young jackfruit (fresh or canned)
Onion
Garlic
Curry powder
Coconut milk
Boil jackfruit until tender, drain.
Sauté onion & garlic.
Add curry powder, jackfruit, coconut milk.
Simmer 15–20 min.
Breadfruit
Ingredients
Breadfruit
Water (or open flame if roasting)
Peel and cut breadfruit.
Boil until soft.
Serve with coconut cream or fish.
Bele Leaves
Ingreidents
Bele leaves
Coconut milk
Onion (optional)
Salt
Wash and finely chop bele leaves.
Boil lightly (5–7 min), drain excess water.
Add coconut milk and simmer 10 min.
Season lightly with salt.
